34 days without any stop over, a 4896 miles round trip, 17 meters high waves, 200 kilos of music equipment, 13 hours recordings…

More than numbers, 60°43’ Nord stands for a human adventure and a true artistic challenge Romain Delahaye aka. Molécule did to himself. His crase was to embark for a one month plus on the Joseph Roty II for an intense “sound fishing” trip with the extreme Winter forecast of the Northern Atlantic.

His dogma: produce, in-situe, a definitive and unique musical piece. He wanted to face an extraordinary environment to initiate a new creative process and a new inspiration source, similar to a sound anthropology.

Behind the deck of his “boat studio”, mix-up of synths, guitares, microphones, mixing tables and effects pedals, he sampled both his industrial and natural environnement to create the soundtrack for his experience of the storm and open water.

From this sound odyssey, he came back with a musical diary in which texts and photographs go with an inseparable album.
